The LM393 Infrared Photoelectric Sensor is a type of sensor that detects the presence or absence of objects using infrared light. It consists of an infrared LED and a phototransistor mounted side by side in a plastic housing. The LED emits a beam of infrared light that is reflected off the object and detected by the phototransistor. When an object is present, the amount of light received by the phototransistor changes, causing a change in the output voltage.
